"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Nicholas Brendon enters rehab

After several arrests and recent problems with the law, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Nicholas Brendon, has decided to check himself into rehab and seek help.

The 44-year-old actor who rose to popularity with his role as Xander Harris in the popular WB/UPN show, has been battling with depression, alcoholism and substance abuse issues. This isn´t the first time for the actor who previously entered rehab in 2004 and 2010.

Brendon´s rep confirmed the news in his official facebook page with the following post:

Earlier today, with the support of his professional team, his friends, and his family, Nicky entered a rehabilitation facility in California to treat his depression, alcoholism, and substance abuse problems. He’s taking the steps necessary to better his health and give himself, and his fans, the gift of a healthy lifestyle.

He has been aware of his problems for some time- and with each new challenge, he gained a greater understanding of what needed to be done to overcome these obstacles and move forward with his life. Since his arrest last October, Nicky had tried several treatment methods- from therapy, to outpatient services- only to realize recently that he needed to take an extended break and treat the underlying issues of his illnesses.

Nicky will not be attending any events during the months of June and July- but has plans to return to the circuit in late summer after he has successfully completed his treatment program. We ask that this page be filled with positive messages as we support Nicky on his road to recovery. Words of encouragement can be emailed to us at publicity@bloodybombshell.com so that we may forward them to him during his time away.

Thank you for all of your love and support of all things Nicky.
Xo- Andrea Albin//BBE

We sincerely support Brendon and wish him the best, hoping he can fully recover from any problems he has by finally getting the help he needs.

'Buffy' Reunion Confirmed for 'Supernatural'

The CW´s love for Buffy the Vampire Slayer is undeniable.

Not only they are responsible for bringing back Sarah Michelle Gellar to TV with her new show Ringer, but they are now reuniting two of the most beloved Buffyverse alumni, Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) and James Marsters (Spike) onscreen.

The pair will share screen time once again on Supernatural, only this time they will be playing husband and wife!

This is how showrunner, Sera Gamble, describes the episode:

“This episode is ‘Bewitched gone wrong. [It was] all upside for this successful man (Marsters) while he was married to the witch (Carpenter), but now that he’s pissed her off, the whole town is paying the price.”

Both Carpenter and Marters have yet to begin filming their scenes for what will be the new season´s fifth episode.

Are you excited to see these two together again?

New "Teen Wolf" Promo

Check out the new trailer for MTV´s new show, Teen Wolf, a reboot of the classic Michael J. Fox film from the 80´s.

Exec producer Jeff Davis (Criminal Minds) described the show to EW as edgier and similar in style to other cult hit shows of the past:

“When I first talked to MTV about it, I said what if we do it kind of like The Lost Boys with kind of the pace and fun of Buffy. We’ve had comparisons to Vampire Diaires. That’s a very brooding melodrama. This exists far closer to Buffy.”

By the looks of the promos that have aired, the show looks very promising and better than what we had personally expected.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Returns to TV!

It's been 8 years (!!!) since Buffy the Vampire Slayer wrapped and, since then, Sarah Michelle Gellar has commited full time to the big screen. Now the Scooby Doo star is ready for a comeback to TV as the star of a drama titled Ringer, for CBS.

According to Deadline, the premise of the pilot revolves around a young woman on the run from the mob. While on the run, she inhabits the life of her wealthy twin sister, until she learns that her twin’s life has a bounty on it as well.

Gellar has been heavily pursued by the broadcast networks since then end of the Buffy days, but her only TV work was a pilot for HBO called The Wonderful Maladys which was never picked up.

Personally, I would love to see Sarah return to TV (it`s been a really long time) but she deserves better than this. I would rather watch her star in the new Charlie's Angels for ABC as she needs a big budget show where she can kick some ass as well as showcase her comedic and dramatic skills.

What do you say? Does the premise of Ringer sound good to you? Are you happy to see Gellar return to TV?

Two Buffy alums guest star on "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice"

Do you miss "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"? I sure do! For those Buffy fans out there, you are about to reunite with two of the former members of the scooby gang on your tv screens! Both Amber Benson and Nicholas Brendon are about to make an appearance on two shows created by Shonda Rhimes.

Amber Benson has reportedly signed up to appear on the seventh episode of the current season of "Grey's Anatomy". She will be playing the estranged daughter of one of Cristina's patients. Benson isn't new to the Grey's universe, as she previously appeared on an episode of "Private Practice" as well, playing a different character.

Nicholas Brendon, on the other hand, is making a guest appearance on Grey's spin-off, "Private Practice", with a far more juicy character. He will appear on a three-episode guest-starring arc, playing a mentally unstable character who ends up being a rapist! Wow, talk about a departure for Brendon since his Xander days on "Buffy" ! This role will surely give him good material to showcase his acting skills.

Are you looking forward to these guest appearances? Weigh in on the comments below!
