Emma Bunton Introduces Son Tate Lee

Former Spice Girl, Emma Bunton, delivered her second son Tate Lee on May 6 and has introduced him to the world on the latest issue of Hello! magazine.

Emma also spoke about the special relationship she has with the other members of the Spice Girls and how they are all still close:

“After I gave birth to Tate, the first bouquets through the door were from Victoria, Geri and Mel (Chisholm). They came with little notes and that is always special to me, to get those from the girls. We always make time for each other. Mel C. came to visit me in hospital and she got quite emotional — we do get very emotional for each other ”

Not only that, but Bunton also reveals how their children have also developed a special bond:

"It was lovely because Beau (Bunton´s eldest son with fiancé Jade Jones] was there playing with Mel´s little girl Scarlet,” Bunton adds. ”Now our kids are friends too and as they grow, it will be wonderful to watch them all and the different stages in their lives.

Emma still hasn´t met Victoria Beckham´s new baby girl, Harper Seven, but she´s confident it will happen in the near future:

“As soon as we can possibly meet up, we will — that’s how it’s always been. But for the moment we’re making do with emails. The fact our new babies are so close in age means we have lots to talk about. We’ve been swapping bits of advice and photos and sharing our excitement.”

Mel B Plans To Release New Music This Year

Mel B, has confirmed her plans to release new solo material this year. The former Spice Girl who is currently pregnant with her third child, has not released an album since 2005.

The singer spoke to Metro about working on some songs which she plans to have ready in the near future.

"I've had a studio built in my house, so hopefully I'll get something out this year. Being pregnant means I have a lot of downtime, so I want to get writing. I come from a pop background so that's what I'd like to do."

Mel also took the time to mention what artists she listens to at the moment:

"My kids and myself love Rihanna and Lady GaGa - all the obvious people - but I can't tell you what direction I'm going to go in until I get more songs under my belt."

Are you happy that Mel B is returning to the music scene?

Spice Girls Divided Over Unreleased Music

According to The Mirror, the Spice Girls are divided over the idea of releasing a collection of unreleased tracks for their fans to listen to.

The tabloid reports that there are around 60 unreleased songs available to choose from but, while Mel B and Mel C are enthusiastic about the idea, the three remaining members of the band (Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham) are against it.

A source close to the british band has stated:

"From a possible 60 tracks, three or four would be guaranteed No1s and there's definitely a solid album's worth from the songs. Although such a release would generate millions, it's not about the money. Both Melanies want to open up the band to a new generation of fans and keep the memory of the Spice Girls alive. They also believe it's sound commercial sense to keep options open for new work down the line."

Apparently, Victoria´s successful career in fashion is one of the reasons she won´t get behind the idea:

"But Victoria has a hugely successful career as a designer and is pregnant. She'd rather distance herself from the group to concentrate on that. She's not keen to revisit the Spice Girls days. Also, if Simon Fuller doesn't feel the timing is right, Emma and Geri don't want to go against him. But it is safe to say this divide is causing friction within the group."

No word yet on what will happen with the songs, but there is still a project in common that all five girls have backed up; the musical Viva Forever featuring all their hit songs.

What do you think? Should the Spice Girls release their unheard material to the world?
