Katherine Heigl Wants to Return to 'Grey's Anatomy'

Fans of Grey´s Anatomy may finally achieve some closure as Katherine Heigl has recently stated her interest in revisiting the show that made her a star.

Heigl was an original castmember and portrayed Dr. Izzie Stevens, but left the show on January 2010 to pursue other projects and raise her adopted daughter. However, her storyline was left wide open and fans were dissapointed that the actress asked to be released from her contract 18 months earlier than expected.

Just recently Katherine spoke to E! News about how she´s willing to return to the ABC Medical Drama.

'One for the Money' Poster

The official poster for Katherine Heigl´s next film, One for the Money, has been unveiled.

The former star of Grey´s Anatomy is investing all her efforts on her big screen career and it looks like it´s paying off.

Want to find out what the movie is about? Read the official synopsis below:

Stephanie Plum’s got plenty of attitude, even if she’s been out of work for the last six months and just lost her car to a debt collector. Desperate for some fast cash, Stephanie turns to her last resort: convincing her sleazy cousin to give her a job at his bail bonding company … as a recovery agent. True, she doesn’t even own a pair of handcuffs and her weapon of choice is pepper spray, but that doesn’t stop Stephanie from taking on Vinny’s biggest bail-jumper: former vice cop and murder suspect Joe Morelli - yup, the same sexy, irresistible Joe Morelli who seduced and dumped her back in high school.

One for the Money opens up on January 27, 2012!

Katherine Heigl dismisses a possible return to "Grey's Anatomy"

It's a wrap for Dr. Izzie Stevens! If anyone was hoping for a future guest appearance from fan favourite Katherine Heigl in "Grey's Anatomy", it is in their best interest not to get their hopes up. The actress has recently stated to OK that "the chapter is closed, and it's sad. And it's hard."

She added that any type of re-appearance of her character on the show would feel "manipulative". "I can't think of any way that she could come back gracefully that wouldn't just feel manipulative. And, it's hard, because I really wonder what she's doing and where she is and what happened, but that is over for me now," she said.

However, she does have some kind words towards her co-star Justin Chambers. "I really miss that relationship. Justin Chambers is one of the most amazing men, and certainly a spectacular actor. I feel oddly attached to him, and the character [Dr Alex Karev] and my character being together," she said. She concluded by stating: "It just seems what's supposed to be, but you can't have it all."

Personally, I just can't seem to understand Heigl's selfishness towards the fans of the show that made her a household name. Manipulative? Really? I wonder how would she define to leave a show without enough time to enable the writers to give a proper send off to her character? I just hope she comes to her senses before the show ends so she can appear in the series finale and make amends with the audience. Ungrateful much?
