Alexander Skarsgard Visits Regis & Kelly

One of the most admired actors of TV nowadays, Alexander Skarsgard, dropped by Regis & Kelly to speak about his work, growing up as an actor and his experiences filming True Blood.

Ryan Kwanten Talks Season 4 of "True Blood"

Ryan Kwanten who portrays Jason Stackhouse on the HBO hit show True Blood, has spoken to The Hollywood Reporter about the changes that his character has undergone in the new season:

“This is the season of the biggest growth for Jason. He started, in my view, very low on the evolutionary totem pole, so he could only go up. This is a real season of where the young boy turns into a man. He’s been given a position of power and he’s now a cop. He’s forced to try and raise a whole tribe of people, and then eventually fight for his life.”

With his character now transformed into a full time cop, the dynamic between Jason and new sheriff, Andy (Chris Bauer) has changed:

“The little dynamic duo. It’s almost like they’re struck by lightning and Jason takes on Andy’s authority and Andy very much starts acquiring a lot of Jason’s naivety and addictiveness. It’s scary that Jason is helping anyone. The fact that he is sort of experienced in addiction, he knows the highs and lows, so he can talk Andy through it."

Kwanten isn´t afraid to show his anatomy onscreen, but is quick to point out the lack of comfort regarding his new uniform:

“It’s even tighter off-screen. There was a good amount of laughing when I tried it on and then some squeamish looks as if to say, ‘Hang on a sec, what if you need to run in this thing?’”

"Running in it is relatively painful,” he explains. “So if you ever see Jason running in it, you can see a slight tinge of pain in my eyes.”

What do you think of the new season of True Blood so far?

"True Blood" Season 4 First Look

A lot of new info has been released regarding the fourth season of True Blood at the 28th Annual William S. Paley Television Festival in Beverly Hills.

So far, creator Alan Ball has teased that this year will be mostly known as the "witch season", but what we did not know it that the most intriguing storyline affects one of the most beloved characters of the show: vampire Eric Northman.

*Spoiler Alert*

It looks like Viking vampire Eric is about to suffer a big case of amnesia, causing him to forget who he was and all of the horrible things he has done in the past. For fans of the Sookie Stackhouse books this storyline will come as no surprise as Ball has apparently left it almost intact in its adaptation.

Actor Alexander Skarsgård explained to the fans what´s in store for his character:

"He messed with the wrong people,"—and because he loses that crucial matchup, he also loses his memory and therefore his entire personality.

This powerful character is just gone—it's not what we've built up over the past three years; it is just gone. And it's a lot of fun for me because it's the polar opposite of who Eric really is…He is lost. He doesn't know how he is, he knows he's a vampire, but he slowly finds out stuff, like, 'Did I do that? I killed those people? Why would I do that? Oh. Really?' It's not easy to hear—and not knowing who he can trust, who's a friend or an enemy. He's very vulnerable."

Impatient already? Check out a video provided by PaleyFest 2011 with footage from the filming of True Blood´s fourth season below!

‘True Blood’ Stars Tease Season Four

We all know how True Blood has become one of the biggest hit series for HBO. During last season's finale, director Alan Ball left viewers with a host of cliffhangers that, according to the stars of the show, will be worth the wait.

“There’s gonna be some changes with Tara,” Rutina Wesley told Access Hollywood. “Hopefully some power and some strength. And not be tied up all the time". Wesley refers to the terrible experiences her character had to endure these last couple of season, which saw her leaving Bon Temps last season's finale.

Joe Manganiello, who joined the show during Season 3 as fan-favorite Alcide Herveaux, gave some hints as to what exactly season 4 is about:

“We can kind of logic it out from what we know: What we know is that the werewolves and vampires don’t get along. We know that fairies and vampires don’t get along… Then we know from the books — if you look at the books — that the witches don’t get along with vampires. So basically everybody doesn’t get along with vampires. So at some point I would imagine the vampires are going to possibly [make] some friends, I would imagine, maybe they’re going to need help against all these people, I don’t know. I think there’s going to be some unlikely alliances formed and it seems like there’s going to be a lot of fighting.”

So, there you have it! It seems that True Blood isn't planning on slowing down anytime soon. Are you anxious for the return of the show?
