Tune of the Week - Wake me up - Avicci Feat. Aloe Blacc

Our new Tune of the Week is Avicci´s brand new song "Wake me up" featuring Aloe Blacc.

A track that surprises for it´s perfect blending of the folk sound with dance influences. "Wake me up" contains great melodies, acoustic guitar, and a powerful addictive chorus.

A song that will surely become a worldwide hit.

Tune of the Week: We Both Know - Colbie Caillat Feat. Gavin DeGraw

Our latest Tune of the Week is performed by two of our favorite singer songwriters, Gavin DeGraw and Colbie Caillat.

 The duo have been touring together during this year and their chemistry has resulted in writing a song called We Both Know which they have provided  as the soundtrack to the upcoming film Safe Haven, which opens on February 2013 in the US.

 Both artists are not new when performing for soundtracks as Caillat had previosly wrote a song for 2010's Letters to Juliet, while DeGraw provided music for 2006´s Tristan & Isolda as well as the CW´s One Tree Hill.

Caillat recently described the track to Rolling Stone:

"It's about a relationship and having to take space from each other, but learning about yourself and the relationship. It's a beautiful ballad."

 Both artists also duet on Caillat´s recent Christmas album and feel very comfortable working with each other.

"We were touring together, so we were already starting to write songs together," Caillat says.

Tune of the Week: Between the Raindrops - Lifehouse feat. Natasha Bedingfield

We just can´t get enough of this song!

After almost three years without new music, Lifehouse has released Between the Raindrops, a beautiful pop-rock ballad with a gorgeous melody featuring Natasha Bedingfield.

The track is produced by Jude Cole who is a frequent collaborator of the band.

Lifehouse is working hard on their upcoming sixth studio album which still has no title or release date.

Tune of the Week: Wildest Moments - Jessie Ware

 Our latest Tune of the Week comes from a rising London singer called Jessie Ware whose debut album, Devotion, will be out on August 20 via PMR Records.

 Ware has been a backup singer for many years before embarking on a solo project that will showcase her many talents.

 Wildest Moments is a  perfect midtempo ballad where she sings with confidence along the bell-like synths and piano chords.

 Here at Radio Pop Action! we are really rooting for this track and for Jessie Ware to become a household name in the near future.

Tune of the Week: Burn it Down - Linkin Park

 Linkin Park has been absent from the music world since their last release, A Thousand Suns, on 2010.

 Now the band is back in full force with their upcoming new album titled Living Things.

 The first single to be released from the new album is Burn It Down, an electronic pop rock song that showcases a new evolution in sound for the band.

 Frontman Chester Bennington recently explained this progression to MTV and why they chose this track as the first single:

 “All of our songs take these really big creative turns and twists throughout the process, so sometimes songs will start out as a melody or some musical chord progressions. Other times, they’ll start out as beats, and the next thing you know they kind of evolve over the course of the making of the album.

  But what’s interesting about this track is the really high energy and the really strong electronic melodies and hooks kind of set this song apart, which is why we chose it as our first single.”

 Living Things is expected to hit stores on June 26.

Tune of the Week: Put Your Graffiti On Me - Kat Graham

 If you are a Vampire Diaries fan you may already be familiar with Kat Graham who plays teenage witch Bonnie on the CW show.

 Graham has also a music career in the works and was recently  picked up by A&M / Octone Records to release her debut music album later this year.

 For now, you can watch her brand new music video for her first single, Put Your Graffiti On Me, above!

 The song is a killer uptempo jam that will surely make you want to get up and dance.

 Who knew Mystic Falls had so much musical talent?

 We love pop music and this is we´ve chosen Brokenhearted as our latest tune of the week, a Dr.Luke-produced song by Massachusetts duo Karmin.

The song is pure pop and sometimes reminiscent of Katy Perry´s sound with some rapping in between.

Tune of the Week: Burn - Melanie C

  Melanie C has just released her new studio album, The Sea, so it was only logical that our new Tune of the Week was a track taken from her upcoming record.

 Having had the chance to listen to the whole album we must say that the former Spice Girl has returned to full form, presenting a collection of songs that are both mature and radio friendly.

 Burn is one of our favourite tracks from The Sea, as it speaks about the difficulty of letting go of a broken relationship.

 The lyrics are powerful, her voice sounds great and this song has definitely single potential.
