Ne-Yo Discusses Possible Bruno Mars Collaboration

R&B singer Ne-Yo recently discussed the possibility of working together again with singer/songwriter sensation Bruno Mars. Apparently, both artists already knew each other before they became household names.

The One In A Million singer told the Daily Star: "I worked with Bruno before my name was even Ne-Yo. We have been talking about doing something together again. I don't want to give too much away, but it's being talked about."

He also praised the singer for his recent chart success:  "To see him doing so well and come out with these big tunes for himself makes me so proud."

Sounds interesting and their styles could totally blend in together. Thoughts?

Ne-Yo upset over album sales

RnB singer Ne-Yo has stated that he feels "disturbed" by the poor sales obtained with his latest effort, Libra Scale. The singer's fourth studio album was released last month and has been struggling in the charts since then.

Ne-Yo told CW Detroit that he blames ilegal downloading for the poor results: "I was a little disturbed by my first week numbers, but a lot of things went into that first week number… the album getting leaked a month in advance definitely had something to do with it".

He added: "That was another situation where I jumped on my soapbox [twitter] and let the world know how I felt about that. You know it’s the world we live in today, it’s the game. You either play the game or you get out. I’m not gonna let the ignorance of some stop me from doing what I feel like I was put on this earth to do."

Ne-Yo may have a point regarding poor sales with his album being leaked a month early, but truth be told  "Libra Scale" doesn't measure up to the quality of his previous work. Aside from a couple of songs, the LP is boring and uninspired.

What do you think? Is Ne-Yo's flop a result of ilegal downloading or bad musical choices?

Ne-Yo and Charice pay homage to Michael Jackson

Singers Ne-Yo and Charice (recently popular from her appearance on "Glee") performed at the Mandalay Bay Events Center  in Las Vegas, as part of the David Foster and Friends special event. They performed the Michael Jackson classic, "Earth Song", and Charice completely stole the show. She appeared halfway through the performance and received a standing ovation.

There is still no high quality video of this event but I will post it as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, click below to watch just a preview of the amazing talent this little girl has. She puts poor Ne-Yo to shame!

Ne-Yo wants to duet with Gaga

According to the Daily Star, singer Ne-Yo has revealed that he is in talks to collaborate on a song with Lady Gaga. This is not the first time that the RnB singer has stated his admiration for the "Bad Romance" singer, as he has previously praised her for "breathing new life into the creative element of video-making".

"I've reached out to GaGa and our people are talking," he said. However, if the duet does come to fruition, Ne-Yo wants to surprise fans with "something totally unexpected". "It would be amazing if we could do a country and western record," he said. "I love what she and Beyoncé did on 'Telephone' and 'Video Phone' as they were both very distinct styles."

Unexpected or not, this collaboration would be very interesting. Both are really good songwriters and take risks on their videos so it will surely be something to talk about, although I'm not sure that a country record would be appropiate for their styles.

Are you looking forward to this possible duet? Sound off in the comments!
