Disney fans can rejoice as a "Tangled" animated series has been ordered by the network with original stars Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi reprising their voice duties in their respective roles.
Not only that but legendary composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater who were responsible for the music in the movie are also set to return as songwriters!
The TV series will be based on on Disney’s 2010 big-screen animated hit of the same name and will follow Rapunzel as she gets to know the kingdom and the characters in her new life.
Last time we saw the character was in 2012 with a short film called Tangled Ever After that was set on her wedding day to Eugene. The TV series, which will premiere sometime in 2017, will take place after the movie and before this shortfilm.
The official press release reads:
“Her irrepressible spirit and natural curiosity about the world drives her to the realization that there is so much more she needs to learn before she can truly accept her royal destiny. She boldly puts her crown and impending marriage on hold to seek out epic adventures, much to the dismay of the King who, after missing out on Rapunzel’s youth, must accept that his daughter is now an independent young woman.”
We literally can´t wait for this project to air! Are you excited?
