Jenny Berggren's new single "Gotta go"

The former Ace of Base vocalist is about to release her second single from her forthcoming album "My Story" which is out on October 13th. The single will be out on September 15th and you can already start to request it on radio stations all over Europe and the US.

This single is far better than the previous one "Here I am", as it has a much more melodic pop vibe to it and it has a much more radio-friendly appeal. The chorus sticks with you and it is so great to see how Jenny has more to offer musically after her period with Ace of Base ended. Listen to "Gotta Go" below!

New "Burlesque" poster!

Check out the new movie poster from the forthcoming movie "Burlesque" starring Cher, Christina Aguilera, Stanley Tucci and Kristen Bell. This film marks the first movie role for singer Christina Aguilera and it is sure going to attract many of her fans to the theathers. It is set for a release on November 24, 2010.

Tune of the week!

You may be familiar with Jessica Lowndes as she stars as Adrianna on the hit show "90210". If you follow the show, you probably know by now what a wonderful singer she is. New episodes will arrive this September on the CW but, in the meanwhile, she is launching a music career and this is her first collaboration with rapper Ironik which is out October 25th in the UK. Not only her voice sounds amazingly good but this song has instant hit written all over it. Listen to it below!

Remembering the King of Pop

On a day like today, 52 years ago, an icon was born into this world. Michael Jackson would change the words music and dance forever, and his magic would influence many generations to come. Unfortunately MJ left us last year but his music and legacy will live on forever. Early this year, Sony Music announced that a new Michael Jackson album containing previously unreleased music will be out later this year and this will be the first of many new releases to come. Lets take a moment today to remember a man that became a legend and that influenced entertainment as we know it today. Happy Birthday Michael!

Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" Album Review

Katy Perry's last album is definitely what is was meant to be, a fun pop summer record to listen to when you want to uplift your spirit and listen to sweet pop dance beats. "Teenage Dream", which is a far cry from her previous effort, doesn´t dissapoint listeners who are expecting a non shy, loudmouthed Miss Perry with provocative and jaw dropping lyrics that talk about relationships, love, drugs, youth and sex. The singer who "kissed a girl and liked it", has surrounded herself with some of the best European producers and now sings about getting intimate with an extraterrestrial as well as many other over the top situations but it is always from a humouristic, giggly point of view. Among the 12 songs that constitute this pop gem, I have chosen what I felt is one of the most infectious cuts from the album called "Peacock". If you don't get the lyrics (!!!) don't worry, the music will do the rest. Listen to the track below!

New music from Ne-Yo!

Ne-Yo's rumoured new single from his forthcoming album "Libra Scale" is called "One in a million" and it sounds pretty good! Good harmonies and that typical Michael Jackson vibe that usually appears in most of his songs. Take a listen!

Is Mariah finally pregnant?

These pictures were taken at a concert the singer gave in Brazil and it looks as if Mariah may finally be expecting her first baby. Mariah's husband, Nick Cannon, has not denied or confirmed the news and has stated that "When she wants to talk about [it], you will hear it directly from her".
So what do you think? She definitely looks pregnant to me!

New music from Rihanna coming soon!

According to Def Pen Radio, Rihanna's new single from her yet untitled album will be called "Only Girl" and she's going back to her "Umbrella" roots which made her a household name. No surprise there, as her "Rated R" album has been almost absent from the charts except for her "Rude Boy" single. The new music will be dance oriented.

I'm really happy to hear this piece of news, Rihanna must return to what she does best and forget about that dark music she's been singing lately. We don't need deep messages in her songs, just fun feel good music to dance to! It does feel a little bit rushed though, her last album is only 9 months old! Are you looking forward to her new music?

Controversy in Diane Keaton's new pilot

According to EW, HBO's new show "Tilda" may be experiencing some problems. Despite having some of the most appealing cast members in television nowadays (it also stars Ellen Page), insiders confirm that showrunner Cynthia Mort has left the building after constant fights on set with director Bill Condon and even actress Diane Keaton. The show is currently looking for a replacement to Mort, although it is unclear whether it will be picked up for a full series yet.

Let's hope they can resolve whatever creative problems they have, I was really looking forward to watching Diane Keaton on a funny tv show.

This looks scary!

The highly anticipated tv series "The Walking Dead", based on the comic books with the same name, will debut on AMC on Halloween and now the Trailer which premiered at Comic Con in San Diego is on the Internet for everyone to see. One hint: Just don't watch it alone! Are you scared yet?

A mini Friends reunion!

It has been confirmed that Jennifer Aniston will guest star in "Cougar Town" this coming season premiere. In the episode, she will reunite will real life BFF and former co-star, Courtney Cox Arquette. Aniston will play Jules long-time shrink and apparently both of them are thrilled at the opportunity of working together again. This is the second time they have reunited onscreen after "Friends" ended (the first time was at Cox's short-lived show "Dirt"). Will you watch?

Britney Spears first "Glee" image

As i'm sure you all know by now, Miss Britney Spears herself is making an appearence on the second episode of "Glee" this upcoming season which is, in fact, centered around her music. Today was Britney's second day on set and she keeps tweeting to her fans about it. The most recent tweet was this picture with actress Heather Morris and a message to her fans that reads "All my GLEEKERS in the crowd, Grab a partner take it down." making a clear reference to her "Me Against the music" video where she appeared with Madonna. Are you excited for Glee's return?

Tune of the week

This song has captivated my heart over the last few days! It's melody, the sound of the voices blending together, the message... so soothing! Take a listen below:

Taylor Swift's new album cover

Taylor Swift's new album cover has unveiled and she looks stunning. According to CMT.com the video for "Mine" will be directed by Roman White (who also directed her "Fifteen" and "You belong with me" videos) and will debut on the 27th of August at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Can't wait to see it!

New Maroon 5

Maroon 5 second single "Give a little more" has leaked. It has a retro feel to it, pretty much like their previous album. Listen to it below:

True hotness

You know you've made it in Hollywood when you appear on the cover of Rolling Stone! The "True Blood" phenomenom seems unstoppable and the issue (available this Friday on newstands) deals with the relationship between vampires and sex, as well as Alan Ball's opinion on that other vampire saga called "Twilight". How hot is that picture?

Moore projects for Mandy

Actress and Singer/Songwriter Mandy Moore has a number of proyects coming up. She is returning for another guest spot on "Greys Anatomy" in the new season this fall. Moore will reprise her role from the dramatic season finale last May, in the sixth episode of the upcoming season. Aside from TV, Moore is also returning to the big screen on Disney's "Tangled" where she voices the main character, Rapunzel, and has just completed "Love, Wedding, Marriage" where she stars opposite Kellan Lutz. Watch the teaser trailer for "Tangled" in the link below.

Mandy is one of the most grounded celebrities out there, and I can`t wait for her new work to come out! Are you excited about her upcoming projects?

Happy Birthday Madonna!

It's the Queen of Pop's Birthday! Madonna Louise Ciccone was born on a day like today 52 years algo in Michigan, and after almost 30 years in the music industry Madonna is still the most influential female artist ever! She looks stunning and her work is still relevant. We can only hope for many more years of great music to come! Happy Birthday M!

New Plain White T's

They always come up with such beautiful tunes! Their new single "Rhythm of Love", from their upcoming album "The Wonders of the Younger" marks the first time guitarist Tim Lopez takes lead vocal duties and I must say the band sounds so much better. Listen to it below!

You Again Trailer

Now this is a comedy I'm really looking forward to! Starring the always adorable Kirsten Bell and with a cast that includes the incomparable Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis and funny golden girl Betty White, here comes a movie about high school drama... long after high school has ended!  I just hope this film gets Kirsten Bell the recognition she truly deserves for her comedic acting skills. Here's hoping one day we finally get that "Veronica Mars" movie done.

ABC's new show "No Ordinary Family"

From Greg Berlanti ("Brothers & Sisters", "Everwood") ABC presents a new show that has got me very excited for the fall. "No Ordinary Family" not only stars beautiful actress Julie Benz ("Dexter", "Desperate Housewives"), but also showcases a very interesting premise. It tells the story of a family whose lives take a turn after an accident where they find themselves dealing with special super powers. The fact that Greg Berlanti is involved and the return of Julie Benz to the fantastic genre (she appeared on Joss Whedon's "Angel") should be appealing enough, but you can check the promo for yourselves below:

New Ace of Base vs. Jenny Berggren

One of the most successful music groups of the 90´s has returned with a new look... and new members! The two new vocalists (Clara and Julia) substitute the Berggren sisters (Jenny and Linn) who left the group to pursue other endeavours. Brother Jonas "Joker" Berggren and Ulf "Buddha" Ekberg are still in charge of the sound and production of the new album, which is due in the fall of 2010, and their first single is called "All for you".

http://www.4shared.com/audio/1_3BIaNd/Ace_Of_Base_-_All_For_You___Ra.html

Coincidentally, former Ace of Base vocalist Jenny Berggren has released her first single as a solo artist. "Here I am" is an electro-pop song, it has reached number 14 on the Swedish singles charts and it is available on iTunes. You can watch the video in the link below:

I personally believe that the new Ace of Base single is ok, but hasn't quite captured the essence of the group, partly because that chemistry was provided by the Berggren sisters, specially Linn who left the group early on due to her troubles coping with fame and popularity. They should have definitely kept Jenny in the band and release the songs with her voice. "Here I am" suffers from the same problem as the group's new single, it lacks the reggae inspired beats that Ace of Base was famous for. With Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" success, there isn't a better moment for a comeback... but will it be as successful with all these changes? What do you think? Are you into the new Ace of Base 2.0 or do you prefer Jenny Berggren's solo effort? Sound off in the comments below!
