Our latest Tune of the Week belongs to that album, but only in its Japanese edition as it as a bonus track for that country.

Dreaming is a beautiful midtempo song written and produced by Babyface and Tony Dixon.

"Weeds" Season Seven May Serve as Series Finale

According to showrunner, Jenji Kohan, Weeds could end after the current seventh season airs. Kohan told EW that she is yet to renew her contract:

"My deal's up. This is my baby but who knows. But as far as I know, we don't have a deal for season eight."

However, Weeds executive producer Roberto Benabib confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that fans of the show will get the closure they are looking for if this turns out to be the last season:

"We're crafting a season finale that can stand up on its own as a series finale if it has to or be a prelude to an eighth season essentially. I think what you'll see in the finale is obviously some closure to certain things, but you'll also see great potential if there should be a season eight."

The voice of One Tree Hill´s main theme song, Gavin DeGraw, is our latest choice for Tune of the Week with his new single, Not Over You.

The track was penned by One Republic´s lead singer Ryan Tedder and DeGraw himself, and will be included on his upcoming new album titled Sweeter.

DeGraw described the track to AOL Music as being "about trying to get past someone emotionally. You create this scenario -- you see them in your dreams and if you bumped into them, you would let them know that you're doing fine and you're past the breakup -- but you'd be lying."

"Glee" Might Replace Original Cast

The creator of Fox´s hit show, Glee, was recently invited to On Air with Ryan Seacrest and spoke about his projects and, of course, what´s in store for next season.

Among other things, Murphy spoke about his intention of having most of the original characters on the show graduate next season:

“The thing that I wanted to do and the cast wanted to do, we didn’t want to have a show where they were in high school for 8 years. We really wanted it to be true to that experience. We thought it would be really cool if we were true to the timeline.”

This will inevitably mean saying goodbye to most of the characters the audience have grown to know and love over three seasons.

Click below to listen to the full interview and find out what the plan is for Glee on season three.

Amy Winehouse Cancels Tour

Amy Winehouse has cancelled part of her European tour following a terrible performance in Belgrade where she appeared lost and disoriented.

The singer mumbled the words of her songs, took her shoes off and even fell onstage during her appearance at Saturday´s gig in Belgrade’s Kalemegdan Park.

As a result, her scheduled concerts for Monday in Istanbul and Athens on Wednesday have been cancelled.

The statement released by her publicists reads:

"In spite of feeling certain that she wished to fulfil these commitments, she has agreed with management that she can’t execute to the best of her potential and will return property.”

We really believe Amy needs to get some serious help or this situation will inevitably result in tragedy.

Click on the video below to watch some of Amy´s erratic behaviour on Saturday. Truly sad!

"Falling Skies" Pilot Review

Just recently we had the pleasure of attending an exclusive preview for the new TV Series Falling Skies, a science fiction show produced by Steven Spielberg about the aftermath of an alien invasion.

TNT Spain invited the bloggers over to take an exclusive first look at the show that has earned so much buzz lately and will probably be one of this summer´s biggest hits.

Due to the fact that the show has not even aired yet, we gave our word that we would not reveal any revelant plot details, so beware that this review will be spoiler free.

The show basically revolves around history professor Tom Mason, one of the leaders of the resistance groups against the aliens.Wyle aside, the other two actors that really stood out in the pilot were Drew Roy, who plays Mason´s oldest son, and Moon Bloodgood as pediatrician Anne Glass.

The episode has Spielberg´s signature style, such as the importance of the children´s point of view in the plot or the amazing special effects. However, make no mistake. This isn´t just your average science fiction show... it is also a family drama.

The lack of information we get from what has happened is what will keep the viewer craving for more. We are presented with an apocaliptic world where both characters and viewers share the ignorance about the real motives behind the alien invasion. Unlike many other similar alien invasion themed TV series, we do not witness what has happened, only the consequences of the tragedy.

Given the fact that the pilot has limited time to present the characters and the story to the audience, we can fairly say that Falling Skies has great potential to develop as a solid and entertaining show for the summer. Now that "V" has officially left the building, Falling Skies may be better than the average consolation prize.

Falling Skies premieres on the US this Sunday, June 19 and on TNT Spain on June 24.

Radio Pop Action! would like to give special thanks to the TNT Spain Team for inviting us to the preview, specially Chema López, Juan Zavala and Alejandro Vázquez for their kindness and attention.

"Glee" Recruits New Writers For Season 3

It was about time! Seems like Glee co-creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are finally realizing that the show needs some help on the writing department and they have recruited a brand new writing staff for Season 3.

Among the new recruits for the Fox musical series are Allison Adler (Chuck, No Ordinary Family) as co-executive producer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Spiderman: Turn off the Dark), with Michael Hitchcock and  Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Fright Night) serving as consulting producers.

Noxon recently took her Twitter to acknowledge her involvement with the show and added some inside jokes by addressing her previous involvement on the Buffy musical:

"Hi to all the Gleeks. I'm only consulting but get ready for the darkest, most depressing season ever. Can Rachel die and come back weird?"

"My storyline ideas for Glee: the school has a new female character who keeps getting PARKING TICKETS. Get it, huh? Huh?"

This marks the first time Glee has a proper writing staff as, up until now, only Murphy, Falchuk and Brennan shared those duties.

We are confident that the show can only improve with this boost of talent, specially with Marti Noxon on board. Glee´s  lack of continuity and overarching storylines was starting to become pretty obvious on recent episodes.

What do you think? Is this a good move for the show?

Robert Downey Jr. on The Avengers: "Joss Whedon is nailing it"

Robert Downey Jr made a surprise appearance at the Hero Complex Film Festival on Sunday, where he joined Jon Fraveau.

The actor revealed his initial thoughts on his experience so far filming the upcoming Avengers movie.

You can read a transcript of what he said below:

"Well, I hate everybody. [Audience laughs] I’m not talking about the cast, I’m not talking about Joss. What I mean is I tend to look at a scene and say ‘This is absolutely impossible, we can’t shoot this, it’s horrible. I can tell you 10 other movies its been in, I refuse.’ I usually start off the morning by refusing to do what I’ve signed on to do.
So I brought that attitude, happily. I just thought ‘How are you gonna put all of us clowns together? He’s wearing a suit, he’s all jacked up, he’s so and so and poor Mark Ruffalo, he’s gonna out do us’. And we’re about six weeks in and I have to say Joss Whedon is nailing it. He’s so smart and so good. And it’s gonna be great. I can’t believe I just said it, I never could’ve believed this but it’s gonna be great."

Big words! We didn´t expect any less from TV wizard Joss Whedon!

The actor will also reprise his role of Tony Stark on the third sequel of Iron Man which is currently set for a May 3rd, 2013 release, while The Avengers will hit theaters May 4, 2012.

Album Review: 4 - Beyoncé

Beyoncé´s latest effort, 4, brings back a more relaxed and tamed version of the diva we all know and love. There is little room for excess in this album, as Honey B brings back a much more soft version of herself with vocal-driven R&B tracks and very little Sasha Fierce in sight.

Many will feel dissapointed and let down by this change of tune from the singer, but I for one felt pleasantly surprised by it.

Here is a track by track overview of the album:

1+1: A soulful ballad where Beyoncé´s expresses her unconditional love for her partner. Her strong vocals stick out and you can feel her emotion throughout the song. There´s even some poweful guitar cords towards the end. 8/10

I Care: In some ways this track shows the opposite side to the previous song. A mid-tempo tune where she craves for the attention of her lover who doesn´t seem to return the favor. 6/10

I Miss You: A very simple yet precious slow jam unlike any other on the album. Beyoncé´s vocals seem restrained and delicate but determined at the same time. The song sticks with you after the first listen. 8.5/10

Best Thing I Never Had: The album´s second single and a much better reflection of what 4 is really about. This Babyface penned track brings back melody and piano instead of excessive computer effects. 7/10

Party (Feat. Andre 3000 & Kanye West): The most deceiving title on the record. Instead of the party we are promised, we get an old school uninspired song with some useless collaborations. 3/10

Rather Die Young: An ok midtempo song that feels more like a filler track than amusing. At this point, the album is really losing steam. 3/10

Start Over: Haven´t we heard this one already? We seriously feel Beyoncé should have chosen between the previous track and this one instead of having two songs sharing such a similar mood. The more edgy sound featured in here makes this one the winner, though. 4/10

Love On Top: Beyoncé does pop! She´s really doing 90´s pop! A breath of fresh air is brought to the album with this happy feel-good song which takes you back to better times in music. Radio would fall in love with this track. Try to listen to it without tapping your feet... we dare you. 9/10

Countdown: It is really unfortunate how badly Boyz 2 Men are sampled in this song. This is probably what fans of Beyoncé would expect and love from her, more senseless beat-driven tracks without emotion whatsoever. If that´s your case, you just got lucky. 3/10

End of Time: For those of you who miss Sasha Fierce, this one goes out to all of you. In the vein of the previous song, the track features strong drums and Beyoncé´s characteristic sound. Been there, done that. 4/10

I Was Here: This Diane Warren penned song is the most heartfelt one on "4". A true masterpiece and an emotional song that could perfectly serve as part of a movie soundtrack 9.5/10

Run the World (Girls): The album ends with the first single which now feels alienated and deceiving from the rest of the tracks. 4.5/10

Do you think Beyoncé´s got a hit album on her hands? Sound off below!

Courteney Cox: 'I was hurt by Emmy Snub'

Courteney Cox has confessed to TV Line that she really wishes to be nominated for an Emmy.

The Cougar Town actress reveals she had a hard time back in the day when Friends aired because she was the only star on the show who never got a nomination for her acting:

"When the first person was nominated for an Emmy, I think it was Schwimmer, you're so excited. Then the second person, so excited. The only time I was like 'Whoa!' was [when Aniston and Kudrow were both nominated] and not me. I had a hard time not taking it personally when it was both Lisa and Jennifer at the same time. One guy, one girl, whatever. But both girls and not me? It hurt. I'm very sensitive, though."

The Scream actress admits having a hard time when dealing with nominations and awards and caring too much about it:

"God, it would be such an honour. I'd be so excited. I'd probably be one of those people who just cried. I wish I could say I didn't care about stuff like that. Maybe if I didn't, it would be some kind of karmic thing for me, but I actually do. I think it's nice to be recognised. [Not being nominated] makes me go, 'Oh s**t, maybe I don't know what the f**k I'm doing'."

Cox still wishes to make amends with the Emmys by hoping to be nominated for her comedy show, Cougar Town and goes as far as saying it would mean even more to her now than when she was on the NBC sitcom:

"Don't get me wrong, it would have been great back then," she explains. "But I think it would mean that I'm on another show that is regarded and is written and performed as well as [Friends] in some way."

What do you guys think? Is Courteney deserving of some Emmy love?

"Super 8" New Trailer

'Glee' Last Minute Scripts

According to Glee stars Matthew Morrison and Dot Jones, the scripts for the Fox hit comedy are often being written as they go as a consequence of falling behind schedule.

The actors revealed to TV Addict that this is partly because the show is currently being written by 3 people - Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy - who are working against time.

"They're writing as we go and working their butts off," Jones explains. "Some days they'd only finish three of the six acts, so when we'd get your script two days before we start working and you weren't anywhere in there, you'd know you're going to be in the episode, you'll just get your lines some time during the eight days we shoot a show."

Star Matthew Morrison explains how this same thing happened during the season finale:

"Literally, the end of the season, the season finale we just shot, they were handing us script pages like, 'Say this right here.' The show is such an epic thing to film, we got so backed up."

On a personal note we must add that the show´s writing has really gone downhill this season. Hire more writers already!

Could this discipline of work have something to do with that?
