Noel Gallagher Speaks About Oasis Breakup

It´s been two years since British band Oasis broke up, and brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher haven´t spoken with each other ever since.

The difficult relationship between the two had reached an unbearable point on August 28, 2009 when they had a huge fight just minutes before they were due to take the stage at Paris' Rock en Seine festival.

Just recently, Noel told The Hollywood Reporter what really happened between them:

"Our relationship was never as bad as people made out, but it all started to unravel when he [Liam] launched his own [designer clothes] label and he decided that the Oasis tour program was where he could advertise it. I didn't think it was right for him to be flogging his gear to our fans. There was a massive fight about that."

According to Noel things got very ugly and out of control between the two:

"There was all this to-ing and fro-ing and Liam was doing all the 'f--k you… f--k you… f--k you'," before storming out of the dressing room... On the way out he picked up a plum and he threw it across the dressing room and it smashed against the wall.

Part of me wishes it had ended like that because it would have made a great headline. But then he came back with a guitar and started wielding it like an axe. He was swinging it around and nearly took my face off. That's when I said 'I'm out of here.' I sat in the car and said 'I can't do this anymore.'"

Even though the guitarist and songwriter has moved on with his new band High Flying Birds, he still regrets the way things ended for his former band, specially for letting their fans down:

"If I had the time again I would have done the last two gigs. I'd have done that gig and it would have been dreadful and I'd have done the next one and we'd all have gone away, but later we probably could have discussed it."

Do you guys miss Oasis? Are you sad that the band ended this way?

  2. dam right they need to be happy for one another, for becoming icons of rock n roll...Not many of us can say that.. They were the first rock band i clinged to when i was a young teenager.. They should definitly get back out there and countinue rockin the show.. The brothers should discuss things more, before taking actions when it effects the band, they should actually talk things over with everyone in the band..Good luck oasis, hope this message gets to you!!!! all the way from durham north carolina.....

  3. Truly the best band ever. You can't imagine how everyone reacted when they got the news. Just to give you an idea there were tears. Lots of tears
Oasis should listen to literally EVERYONE and reunite. Even to forever just some time or for some gigs (forever would be great ;) ) I hope this message gets to you.
