Mariah prepares new Christmas album!

Seems like someone has finally made Mariah Carey come to her senses and she's ready to return to what she does best, sing classical mellow songs. And what is more classical than a brand new Christmas album? Mariah has previously released the succesful "Merry Christmas" which always becomes a hit every Christmas eve, and her song "All I want for Christmas is you" is still today one of the most popular hit singles of the 90's.

Maybe this is why on November 2nd, Mariah will release "Merry Christmas II You", a new collection of revisited Christmas songs such as “The First Noel,” “Little Drummer Boy,” “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” or “O Come All Ye Faithful" along with four new original songs including new single "Oh Santa". Songs will be produced by Randy Jackson, Jermaine Dupri ("Always be my baby"), or Grammy award winner Marc Shaiman ("Hairspray").

I personally couldn't be happier that Mariah has decided to explore her roots and returns to her old self, at least musically. She's still talented but totally lost her way lately. If she decides to stop whispering her songs and show her magical voice, these songs could be huge. I really look forward for this new project. Are you picking up Mariah's new holiday album?
