Yes...the rumours are true! The Spice Girls are coming back... as a musical! The project will be titled "Viva Forever" and will feature the band's greatest hits but it"won't be a tribute or bio show". Instead its premise will deal more with a reality tv show as producer Judy Craymer (who was behind the stage production of hit "Mamma Mia") stated: "'Viva Forever' will encompass the Spice Girls ethos of friendship, identity and being true to yourself, it won't be a tribute or bio show, nor will it feature characters with any of the names of the famous five piece."
The musical will be "a glimpse of the underbelly of TV talent shows, an invented show, and a little bit of comedy romance" and will feature 14 songs. All Spice Girls are onboard with the production and have confirmed to be very happy about it. Mel B has said: "All five of us are really super excited. We don't do anything unless all five agree. All of us loved 'Mamma Mia!'. We needed someone who would have a great vision alongside ours."
